Project Description

A set of 3 lyric videos that generated millions of views and paved the way for audio-reactive, Arabic kinetic-typography.



Problem

As the leading rock band in the region, JadaL reached out to me with an ambitious request: to produce three lyric videos for their latest album within a week's time. This pioneering project was among the first of its kind, if not the very first, to incorporate Arabic kinetic typography in a musical context. With no existing reference materials to guide me, I had to think on my feet and quickly deliver high-quality content that would be viewed by millions of fans across the globe.



Solution

A series of 3 videos that generated millions of views, and a groundbreaking endeavor that did not only showcase my adaptability and skills but also helped push the boundaries of what was possible in the realm of Arabic music video production.



Process

During this intense project, I dedicated myself to 18-hour workdays at the band's studio in Amman. There, I led numerous brainstorming sessions and collaborated closely with the band members to generate innovative video concepts. The band provided unwavering support, responding rapidly to any requests I had in order to maintain the project's momentum. Their commitment even extended to securing one of the city's most sought-after filming studio sets in under two hours, allowing for same-day shooting. This extraordinary teamwork and dedication were crucial to the success of this ambitious and time-sensitive endeavor.



Results

Kanz

JadaL's third studio album, 'Malyoun,' features the captivating song 'Kanz.' This track has already amassed over a million views on YouTube, showcasing its progressive and potent essence. The accompanying music video, which brilliantly displays this intensity, was impressively completed in just three days. This process included conceptualization, green screen filming, editing, and the integration of motion graphics and Arabic kinetic typography.

Yumain O Leila

Boasting over 4.5 million views on YouTube, this enchanting song exudes a mystical and soothing atmosphere. Entitled "Two Days and a Night" in translation, the track's name fittingly reflects the brief yet efficient production timeline of its accompanying music video. In a mere two days and one night, the band's lead singer and I shot and edited the visual component, ultimately producing a captivating audiovisual experience that resonates with viewers worldwide.

Mish Hadol Nasak

"Mish Hadol Nasak" is a song infused with an electrifying and funky atmosphere, and its music video brilliantly captures this essence by employing cutting-edge techniques in motion graphics and Arabic typography. I used audio-reactive layers to synchronize the visual elements with the song's rhythm and energy, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience for the viewer. Furthermore, parametric design principles were applied to create intricate patterns and dynamic visuals, adding a unique depth to the music video. Remarkably, this stunning audiovisual project was completed in just two days, exceeding the client's expectations. These innovative techniques, combined with the captivating tune, make "Mish Hadol Nasak" a truly memorable audiovisual experience.
